A 13-day nature wellness tour to discover some of the pleasures of Vietnam and have fun at the same time. You can combine relaxation, discovery of ethnic minorities and breathtaking landscapes.

After having discovered the urban jungle of the capital and its overflowing activity, you will begin the journey in North Vietnam.

First in Vietnam’s largest artificial lake at Thac Ba where mass tourism is still absent. Enjoy a peaceful local life and a discovery of relaxing landscapes.

Then you will leave for the province of Yen bai to enjoy the hot springs of Tu Le before leaving for the magnificent Mu Cang Chai and its magnificent rice terraces.

You will continue the road towards the North towards Lai Chau province and more precisely the district of Tam Duong. Enjoy a stay in a hilltop village contemplating incredible views. You will learn about the local life of the Dao residing there.

Finally, departure to the district of Bac Ha, famous for its Sunday market which brings together the various local minorities. A show of beauty. If your trip takes you there another day, you can visit other smaller but equally interesting and less touristy markets.

In the early morning the activity is intense and the passage in the narrow alleys reveals this invisible life which makes the charm of Hanoi. After a fresh juice break at Lake B52, while listening to the story of the wreckage of a fighter jet emerging there, you will go to the Hanoi Botanical Garden to contemplate the wide variety of trees, including centenarians. . The walk then continues to the Mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh, a cult place in Vietnam. Then return to the Old Quarter and to the Dong Xuan market for a tasting of the main dishes of the North such as Pho , Bun Cha , Banh Cuon... In the afternoon, departure by car for the superb ethnology museum which brings together a wide variety of information on ethnic groups as well as traditional houses in the garden of the museum. Return to the center for a 1h30 treatment break including the famous Himalayan salt treatment (purifying and detoxifying).   • Day 3 >Hanoi – Thac Ba lake – Vu Linh
  • tam-coc_smallDeparture in the morning for Thac Ba Lake, the largest artificial water reservoir in Vietnam. You will arrive at the edge of the lake to board the boat which will sail to the guest house. After installation, you will share a lunch with the Dao who manage the site. In the afternoon, set off on foot from La Vie Vu Linh through the paths overlooking the Dao villages. Take advantage of shaded breaks with the locals. Then, go deep into the jungle and learn its mysteries from the local guide. On the way, collect the fruits of the jungle which will be used to prepare dinner. Set up camp then enjoy a meal over a wood fire before spending the night listening to the jungle.
  • Day 4 > Thac Ba Lake – Tram Tau
  • In the morning, relax with a breakfast served with a view of the lake. Then you will leave with Madame Nhat or her sister, both experts in medicinal plants for a botanical tour in the jungle. Learn how the Dao use natural elements for therapeutic or medicinal purposes. Back at the homestay, you will have the choice between learning bamboo weaving, guided by the locals, or taking a cooking class with the chef. Lunch and then transfer to Tram Tau. Arrived for dinner and a quiet night with Nghia , the owner. A traditional Dao herbal bath will relax you before nightfall.
  • Day 5 >Tram Tau – Tu Le
  • In the morning, departure for a charming walk to discover the picturesque villages and the life of the H'mongs. You will have tea with a family to discuss the habits and customs. The hike will take you to a lovely waterfall where a picnic will be organized. After lunch, you will return peacefully to the guest house. You will then leave to take the road for Tu Le and for the Hotel Le Champs. Superb Resort enjoying a relaxing environment and a splendid view. On the way, stop in a tea field for a tasting and learn about the culture. This region is very famous for producing quality tea. Arrived at the hotel at the end of the afternoon. Check-in and free time until dinner. Night on site.
  • Day 6 > Tu Le
  • After breakfast, you will leave for a day of hiking in the valley to discover the daily life of the locals. Depending on the season, you can participate in their daily tasks in the field (planting rice, harvesting, plowing the land or other). You will have lunch with a H'mong family and try sticky rice, the local specialty. Back at the hotel, you can relax in the hot springs to invigorate and regenerate your muscles. Dinner and night in peace at the hotel.
  • Day 7 > Tu Le – Mu Cang Chai
  • After breakfast, the road resumes towards Mu Cang Chai via the famous photographers pass. Mythical place for its rice terraces which attract photographers from all over the world but also a paragliding festival. Arrived at Mu Cang Chai, a hike will take you to Rasberry Hill , known for its rice fields and especially with its circular summit. The hike will end at the village of Kim Noi. On the way, you will see the H'mong minorities in everyday life and sublime landscapes. Dinner and night on the spot at the inhabitant.
  • Day 8 >Mu Cang Chai – Lai Chau (Si Thau Chai)
  • The morning will be devoted to the walk around the village to continue to enjoy the beauty of the place and to deepen your knowledge of the local minorities until lunch. In the afternoon, you will take the road to the North and the province of Lai Chau. The road offers superb panoramas. You can relax before sharing a meal and a few glasses of rice wine with the hosts. Night on site
  • Day 9 >Lai Chau (Si Thau Chai)
  • Depending on the weather, it is possible to get up at dawn to admire the sunrise and/or the sea of clouds from the viewpoint. After breakfast, you will visit the village and a local house, tea break to discuss the traditions of the Dao minority. Then you will go on a botanical tour in the surrounding jungle to learn about the use of jungle products for food or medicinal purposes. The hike continues along the mountain to reach the superb waterfall of Tac Tinh . After a moment of relaxation, a picnic will be organised. You will have time to swim (depending on the season) and rest. You will then return to the village to enjoy a herbal foot bath, a specialty of the Dao. After this moment of relaxation, you can relax in the village. You will then be invited to cook local dishes with the hosts before sharing dinner with them. Night on site
  • Day 10 > Lai Chau (Si Thau Chai) – Bac Ha
  • If weekend, you will make a first stop at the Tam Duong market which brings together local ethnic minorities. Otherwise, you will take the road to Bac Ha, passing through the magnificent O Quy Ho pass, called the "gate of heaven". The road continues to the village of Bac Ha where you will arrive for lunch. Once registered at the homestay, you will hike around the village to discover local life, fauna and flora. Back at the guest house to share a tea with the host family. You can cook with them before sharing dinner. Night on site.
  • Day 11 > Bac Ha – Lao Cai – Hanoi
  • Depending on the day of visit, you can visit the Bac Ha market (Sunday) or other smaller but equally interesting markets, gathering minorities and local products (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday). Lunch on site at the market to taste local specialties. Then you will hike to the "valley of flowers" about two kilometers from Bac Ha, maintained by local minorities. You will find hundreds of varieties of flowers that grow there all year round, a pleasure for the eyes and the senses and a delight for photographers. Back in Bac Ha, you will visit the Bac Ha temple, dedicated to Vu Van Uyen and Vu Van Mat, two brothers who worked for the stability of Bac Ha. They are celebrated on the occasion of the temple festival. As the time will come to leave the fascinating mountains of the North, you will benefit from a one-hour body massage in terms of parting gifts. You will then take the road to Lao Cai and have dinner there before boarding the overnight train to Hanoi. Arrival in the early morning.
  • Day 12 > Hanoi – Flight over Halong Bay – Lan Ha Bay cruise
  • After breakfast in Hanoi, you will be transferred to Ha Long to board the seaplane which will take you over the marvelous Halong Bay for about fifteen minutes. You will then be transferred to the pontoon to take the shuttle that will take you to the junk to start a cruise in Lan Ha Bay, a little sister just as pretty as Halong Bay and much less touristy. After a welcome drink and a brief introduction, you will have lunch in Cat Ba before rejoining the junk. Navigation begins crossing the houseboats. You can then jump in the kayak to explore the bay and visit the “dark cave” and the “bat cave”. Dinner and night on board the junk.
  • Day 13 > Halong Bay – Hanoi
  • Wake up gently in the middle of the bay. You can go kayaking again through the lagoon and the “three tunnels” cave. You will then have lunch on the beach of the island "of the three peaches", known for its crystal clear water and its wild beaches. Then return to Cat Ba Island where transport will be arranged for a return to Hanoi. End of round
