The car picks you up at your hotel early in the morning to start the trip to Lao Cai province. More particularly the village of Bac Ha. Arrived on the spot for the lunch which you will take at the inhabitant. In the afternoon, you will hike in the magnificent landscapes of the mountains of northern Vietnam. This will be an opportunity to rub shoulders with local minorities and learn about their daily lives. Depending on the season, you can join them to try your hand at rice planting or harvesting. Evening, dinner and night in peace with the host family.

In the early morning, you will leave to visit the famous, colorful and lively Bac Ha market. On site, you will discover this explosive mixture of colors from the costumes of the different ethnic minorities. It is a place of gathering, exchanges, very important trade in the region. You can buy souvenirs from local crafts. Lunch on site in the market. Back at the Homestay, it will be time to say goodbye to the hosts and hit the road for Ha Giang province. The road which in the mountains offers fantastic landscapes, photo stop on the way. You will arrive at the Homestay in the late afternoon. Free time until dinner on site.

Quan Ba

We pick you up from your hotel at 8:00 am, then take the mountain roads to Quan Ba town, you will enjoy the incredible view of the Happy road below. On the way you can take some photos with the magnificent view of the rice fields, mountains and valleys. You can experience the culture and customs of the Red Dao people in Nam Dam Village. There, you will have the opportunity to talk to the local people to learn about their daily life and traditions. We will continue our journey to Yen Minh where we will have lunch. After lunch, we will continue our trip to more distant and isolated villages. From there, you will know how people live in more remote parts of Vietnam. We will drive through the villages of Lung Cam and Sa Phin. A stop will be made en route to visit a H’mong Village in Lung Cam, and the residence of the Vuong Family, still called “Palace of Hmong King or Opium King’s palace”. After checking in our hotel in Dong Van, dinner will again include lots of happy water (rice wine), part of the tradition in Vietnam.

After breakfast, we will go to Ma Pi Leng pass, highlight of the trip as the most impressive and beautiful mountain pass in Vietnam. We will trek in the Sky Path to enjoy a panoramic view of the Ma Pi Leng Pass. We will stop in Mau Due for lunch. After lunch we will continue the ride to Sa Li pass through Lung Ho village. You will see many of the minority children playing by the side of the road while their parents are working. We will then reach the village of Du Gia, located in the middle of the rice fields where we will enjoy diner and stay overnight.

After breakfast, we will go to a hidden waterfall where you can swim before we continue our way to Lung Tam Village. In this village of the H’mong minority, we will learn how to make fabrics from locally grown hemp in Northwest Vietnam. We will have a delicious lunch in one of the local restaurants. After crossing The Heaven Gate, we will pass the Bac Sum Pass back to return to Ha Giang. Arrival around 4pm where the car will wait for you before to transfer you to Hanoi. Diner on the way and arrival in the capital in end of evening.
