Morning pick up at your hotel in Hanoi and departure for Ba Be Lake, located about 5 hours from Hanoi. Arrived on site, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant/ homestay then checkin your room at a homestay. In the afternoon, you will start a boat trip along Nang River to discover Ba Be Lake, Puong Grotto, the rapids of the Dau Dang Waterfall and tiny Widow Island, which will bring you relaxing time with fresh air and green environment. After that, walking or bike ride to visit the surroundings passing through village of Tay people and discover their local life far from mass tourism. Dinner and night on site.

After breakfast at the host family, 7h00 you will take a short walk visit Hua Ma, a huge grotto with thousands of stalactites. We will then depart for Quang Uyen, Cao Bang and you will have lunch and break time on the way. The car will reach to Phuc Sen, where you can explore about traditional forging tools in Pac Rang village. Then transfer to Phia Thap village which is well known for its incense making tradition. The village is surrounded by limestone pinnacles which make for spectacular scenery. Every household in this village makes incense, so you can easily see and explore the process of making incense. Diner and stay overnight in Phia Thap.

Morning hike with a short trip in the morning (1hr) to the peak of the mountain in the village to see the panorama of Phia Thap village – located in the valley and surround by karst mountain. Then, passing the Ma Phuc pass – the most beautiful 7 levels pass of Cao Bang province, you will get to Thang Hen lake, situated in the middle of a mountainous region and the blue of the trees stretching out over the cliffs. Continue with Mat Than mountain (God’s eye mountain), which viewed from a distance, the round hole on the top of the mountain reminds people of the eye. Picnic lunch will be provided. Mid – afternoon, you will be transferred to Khuoi Ky village and its ancient rock houses. Check in and free time to visit the village.

Today, hit the road again to Nguom Ngao Limestone Cave – once known as the mystical Tiger Cave. The cave stretches for 2,144 meters underground and is brimming with incredible stalactites and stalagmites. Have a picnic lunch. Pay a next visit to the captivating Ban Gioc Waterfall lying in between Vietnam and China, claimed to be the fourth largest border waterfall on the planet. Back to the homestay, dinner and stay overnight.

Cao Bang

The final day of the tour, you will be driven back to Hanoi passing Lang Son with many historical places. First, stopping to visit Dong Khe – an important historical site where The Battle of Dong Khe was fought during the First Indochina War. Transferring you to Lang Son city for lunch. Then continue the road back, stop at Chi Lang Pass – a 20-km-long gorge created from a narrow valley between two mountains. This place occupies an important position in Vietnamese history, being the place of many victories against various Chinese invasions over the centuries and millennia, as far back as 981AD. Arrive in Hanoi after 2hour more.
