The car picks you up from your hotel in Hanoi to begin the drive to Mai Chau Valley. On the way, stop at Tung Pass Khe , recognized as one of the 10 most beautiful in Vietnam. Visit the local market where you can try the specialty, sticky rice cooked in bamboo. The road resumes to the guesthouse for lunch and room check-in. In the afternoon, a relaxing bike ride in the valley to visit a traditional house, learn about the craft of weaving and why not indulge in some shopping. Back at the Homestay , free time to rest until dinner and a quiet night.
In the early morning, departure for the village of Pa Co, an hour away. Visit the colorful local H’Mong market (only on Sundays). Then you will learn how the H’mong people weave traditional hemp outfits with indigo. Lunch on site. On the return, stop at a beautiful waterfall and local hot springs Then depart for the Pu Luong Nature Reserve. Arrival in the late afternoon, free time before dinner and night on site.
In the morning, you will leave with a local guide from the Black Thai minority for a jungle trek. You will collect the plants, fruits, vegetables (depending on the season) which you will then use for the preparation of lunch. Cooking rice in the bamboo on the improvised fire, an exhilarating adventure. Back at the guesthouse, you can relax before hitting the road again for the start of a hike through the rice fields that will take you to the hidden hamlet of Kho Muong and its Bat Cave. Then return to the Homestay for dinner and overnight
After breakfast, you will set off with a local guide for a short hike that will take you to the site where you will begin a local cooking class. Learn about the traditional dishes of the Pu Luong Reserve. You can taste the fruit of your labor. You will then take the road for a return to Hanoi or Ninh Binh . End of round.
